Harpreet Singh was born in 1969. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Chandigarh College of Art. Recipient of the Punjab Lalit Kala Academy award, the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy award and the AIFACS award. Has participated in several group exhibitions and held solo exhibitions of his work in Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai.

Harpreet Singh’s art is fascinating, the influence of modern day living is vividly captured on his canvas. The acrylic on canvas is conjured up in myriad ways, all very personalized and influenced by modern day experiences. His work can extract the ugliness, loneliness and apathy that a city is mostly associated with, and at the same time, it also brings out the subtle vibrancy and human touch that is intertwined with life in a metropolis.
