Born in 1938. Studied at the College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. Received the Lalit Kala Akademi award for Graphic Arts in 1969, and the National Award of the Lalit Kala Akademi in 1971. Has participated in several international biennials. His work is represented in numerous public and private collections. A retrospective of his work was held in 2007 and a book published on the artist and his works.
