Born in 1939. Diploma in Drawing and Painting at the Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai. Recipient of several awards, including the National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi, the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society Award, and the Padma Shri from the Government of India in 1992. Has participated in the 3rd, 4th and 5th International Triennial held in New Delhi. Has held several solo shows of his works and participated in group shows in India and abroad.
