Born in 1937. MFA (Sculpture), MS University, Baroda. Recipient of several awards, including the National Award in 1961 and 1976. Participated in the XII Biennial in Antwerp, the International Festival of Art in Baghdad, and the Festival of India in Tokyo. His works have been shown extensively in India and abroad, and are in the collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi.
