Paramjit Singh
Born in 1935. Studied at the College
of Art, Delhi, from 1953 to 1958. Has shown widely in India and
abroad in solo shows and important group exhibitions. Was awarded
the National Award in 1970 by the Lalit Kala Akademi. Was Professor
at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi, where he taught at the Department
of Fine Arts and Art Education from 1963-1992. His work is represented
in several major public and private collections.
