Born in Madhya Pradesh in 1951. Studied Fine Arts and Applied Graphics at the Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, where she received a gold medal in 1971. Recipient of the Amrita Shergill Fellowhip for creative work in art, a fellowship from the Government of India, and a National Award at the National Exhibition in Bangalore in 2001. Has held exhibitions of her work in India and the US. Her work is represented in several public and private collections.
