Born in 1963. Obtained a Masters degree in Fine Arts at Santiniketan. Received a doctorate from Visvabharati University, Santiniketan, in 1992, for her thesis on ‘Landscape as an Expression in Indian Traditional Painting’. Received a Junior Fellowship from the University Grants Commission. Has held several solo exhibitions of her work. Writes on art.
