Shalina S. Vichitra
Born in 1973, Shalina obtained Bachelor's
and Masters' degrees in Fine Art at the College of Art, Delhi. She
received an award from the Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi, in 1996,
the Swapan Biswas Award in 1996, and an award in the MFA programme
at the College of Art, Delhi, in 1997. She has held solo shows of
her work, and participated in several group exhibitions and workshops.
Her work is inspired by her extensive and frequent treks to Ladakh
as well as by the urban landscape around her. Shalina lives and
works in Delhi.
