Born in 1940. Studied under KCS Paniker at the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. Founder- member of the Cholamandalam Artists’ Village, Chennai. Received the National Award of the Kerala State Lalit Kala Akademi and also of the Madras State Lalit Kala Akademi. His work has been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions in India and overseas. A retrospective of his work was held in 1998-2000 at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi and Mumbai, the Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai and CIMA, Kolkata.
