Born in 1928. Studied Fine Arts at the Government College of Art, Kolkata. Received the National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi in 1986. Has held several solo exhibitions of her work, and participated in group exhibitions, including the IVth International Triennial in Delhi. Her works are in the collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi, and several public and private collections.
