Born in 1936. Studied at the College of Art, New Delhi, and at the École des Beaux Arts from 1953 to 1958. Has held several solo exhibitions of his work in India and Europe. His work is represented in collections in India and overseas, including the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi; the Bharat Bhavan Museum, Bhopal; the National Foundation of Contemporary Art, Paris; and Glenbarra Museum, Japan.
