Ram Kumar
Born in 1924. Studied art at the Sharda Ukil
School, Delhi, and thereafter with André
Lhote and Fernand Leger in Paris. Recipient
of several awards including the J.D.
Rockefeller Fellowship in 1970, the Padma Shri in 1971 by the Government of India, the
Kalidas Samman in 1986. His work is in the
collection of the National Gallery of Modern
Art, Delhi, and the Lalit Kala Akademi,
Delhi.
